Re: Would like to talk to others who don't drink anymore

This is a link for english AA, perhaps they might also have some other ideas for english speaking groups closer to you (or also your doctor should have some resources too). Good luck!

So far you have contributed absolutely zero to this thread.
Ahem...

Now your turn: what have you contributed to this thread apart from sanctimonious claptrap?

If those rubber outfits you own aren't for S&M - what are they for????

Recovery 101 is a good podcast (although the presenters are currently swanning around the northern states watching American football). Bruce has gone through NA, AA and CA so is pretty honest with his approach to the whole thing.

There is a clinic in Zurich by the looks of it but it's also in-patient.

on any serious forum you would be long banned by now.
He has been banned, but he always comes back Anyway, this is not a support forum and none of the contributors are paid help.

Someone posts a question and it gets answered; during that time other random-ish conversations happen. If you walked into a pub and sat down with a group of strangers and talked about a problem, some would listen and offer help, others would just carry on with their conversation with occasional nods towards the newcomer.

if this was a group for alcoholics, then you'd be right. If this was a group designed to offer medical support, you'd be right. if this was a group whose aim was to provide a sympathetic ear to anyone with an issue you'd be right. In this case, the person posted their issue and a bunch of random people (who make up the membership of this forum) gave a bunch of random but relatively on-topic posts. Apart from your total diversion and off-topic moan of course, which has caused this thread drift I'm now also part of.

The OP got some answers and then general chitter-chatter took over once the topic was coming to an end.

That's life. Pay for support, spend some effort to find the right support group, or deal with some off-topic banter on a forum like this.
