Hello!

I moved to Zurich 2 months ago and have just about got over the culture shock of moving to a new country! I've finally found a place to live in Thalwil after applying for 5 apartments and getting none. Other than that my experience so far has been really positive and I'm looking forward to meeting people here and getting 'integrated'!
I've moved here from Uk for work (I'm a project manager in Pharma).
Trying to do dry January at the moment which is thoroughly depressing as I love a nice G&T or glass of red!
Looking forward to being an active forum member - say hi

Are you absolutely sure that's a good idea when there's so many good bars to discover? Oh...and Hello!

Re: Hello!

Welcome to the forum.

2 months to get over culture shock? Impressive. Some of us are still working on it, decades later

If you need somewhere to hang, after you have come out of the "dry" phase, try the Hash House Harriers, who meet tuesdays and thursdays - usually arranged over the Meet-Up site nowerdays.

They are drinkers, with a running problem.
