Well, at first sight it looks like a cute home-made page, but after reading a few sections I realized it's extremely negative. What do you have agains life in Switzerland Melissa ? Is it thaaaaaat bad that the cashier looks surprised when you say you don't have the Cummuls card ? I don't have it, and they don't look all that puzzled to me.

Lou, I did check her page, and it really is about living in Switzerland. I actually did read the whole page on food, the one on Daily Life, and browsed through the one on Sports. The thing is...she really hates Switzerland big time.

But if she hates Switzerland so much - why is she asking about salaries in Switzerland.

Or how did she acquire such an "insighful" look into every day life in Switzerland if she hasn't live here yet ?

After Zenistar's post saying it was a Spam site I looked at it too, as she is not selling anything I'm not going to delete her thread. But I am interested in her motivation for signing up all the way from Aukland, could be as Thambo points out that she really is interested in living here. Let's just say at the moment I'm confused and hopfully she will come back and let us know. So for now lets give her the benefit of doubt and see what she says.

I just saw it as a bullshit site containing nothing of value apart from web ads at the side of the page (which actually have better content), typical forum spam.

If this really is the website of someone who is looking to move to Switzerland, I have to ask where they gained their experience from and if it was first hand, why the hell they would come to such a place.

I've just read her page, and it's very funny. Well at least a few things made me laugh, out loud too. As far as I can tell it's funny because in some cases, it's true. Perhaps those of you who have turned her acerbic ramblings into 'hate' need to calm down and not necessarily see Switzerland as yours.

Seems pretty harmless to me. Are things really that non-eventful that people have to pounce on and mangle any seemingly unsuitable ausforumer that comes along? Kind of reminiscent of the Expat's projection of what the Swiss are supposed to be like.

I found it entertaining too, its rant style isnt going to cause any reasonable person to take it as a serious critique.

Looks like there are plans for a "World Guide", Germany already targeted, but unfortunately I couldnt open the History section, that should be a ripper! Hope she has spent some time in Australia, look forward to reading that
