New to the forum - looking for international community/expats

Hi,
as one would assume in the "Introductions" forum, I'm new to this place, too. (Well new to the forum but not really new to Zurich.)

I have been living in Zurich since July 2005 and really like living here.
Like in any other place it has its pro and cons, and one has to get used to certain aspects of Swiss life style but that would just be the same anywhere else.
When you live somewhere which is not your home town or native country, there's always something you find strange and peculiar, and there's always something you quite like and are happy about.
Well that's the case for me anyway.

I'm German, which means by now I do understand Swiss German or to be more precise I do understand Züri-Dütsch, the Swiss German of the greater Zurich region.
I am a PA and I work at a small head hunting agency in Zurich.
I live in Wipkingen, which is an area I quite like, and which is good for outdoor activities along the Limmat - not that I am doing it on a daily basis though....

I joined this forum as I'd like to meet people with an international background, be in an international community, exchange views with other expats and make new friends maybe?
Anyway I'm always curious to meet new people.

So hopefully this is the right place to socialise and also ask for advice when it comes to living in Switzerland/Zurich.

I think you have found the right place. You'll find lots of advice and tips here as well as social events in the calendar where you can meet people. This community is very much an international group.
