Hi - Guten Tag - Salut!

Hi - just joined the site as my husband and I will be moving to Zurich later this year. At the moment we are living in the USA, but we originally come from London. We are very excited about moving to such a beautiful part of Europe, and will be glad to be closer to family. Starting the task of learning German and thinking about all the wonderful Swiss chocolate and ski slopes... we're so excited! So no doubt I will be asking lots and lots of questions at life in Swizterland. J

Thank you - it certainly looks stunning in the photos I've seen. Just hope I can get the grasp of German, or should I say Swiss German.

Re: Hi - Guten Tag - Salut!

go for German. This is a better option than trying to learn the dialect.

It's a great place. And, for once, the sun is actually shining!
