Just by way of introduction, I'm Irish-Italian, work in IT management and about to move with my girlfriend (or partner - I never know what the PC term is nowadays), who is German, to Zurich.
Looking forward to calling the city home, just as James Joyce once did (and posthumously still does).
Welcome to the Forum.
I saw the post about the flat, can't help at all, but I hope you find somewhere successfully. I think they are selling off tents used by the EURO fans, cheap. Set one up in our garden if all else fails.
A big welcome to the forum from a fellow Dub. We've been camping in our flat here since August... never too old. We had a race against time last year too, to find a place, as we found out in July and had to be here late August. The problem is now is a really good time to get somehing for July, but after that you may have difficulty in getting a long term place till October. It's really worth looking through homegate.ch now and remember that the distances here are relatively short and the transport super- efficient. Commuting is not as painful as Dublin, especially if you get a place near a train station.
Good Luck!
