Hello everyone!

Greetings from Scotland!

My boyfriend, Mark, and I are about to move to switzerland in August because he got a transfer to Zug. I am a primary teacher and will be sad to leave when the time comes, but for now I'm looking forward to the future, and a new job when I find one. We haven't decided where to stay; either Zug or Luzern, watch this space...

In our spare time we like cycling and playing badminton, so I hope there are places for us to play and new people to meet.

I find it kinda funny that I've just finished a basic language course - in french - picked the wrong language! Still love the language though. Next... Swiss-German here I come.

Bree
xx

Re: Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Forum.
Plenty of people to get to know in that region (both Swiss and ex-pats!) so you shouldn't be lonely for too long.
Have a good look through the Threads and you will know what you are letting yourselves in for.
It's a wonderful place to live - especially if you are flexible, tolerant, interested in other life-styles and good at languages. (it helps if you are punctual too)

Re: Hello everyone!

Hi there!

We have lived in Luzern and Zug. Both are really nice, although Zug is a little sleepy. My husband works in Zug, so it is nice that he has a communte of only 10 minutes whether he goes by bicycle, train or car.

Anyway, if you have any questions about the Zug area, feel free to pm me! Good luck with your move!
