Hi everyone.
As requested here is a short introduction about myself. I was born in the UK and started working as an upholsterer in London. I have always tried to better myself throughout my life with regard to my work and lifestyle. (As many of us try to do). I am currently working at the EuroAirport near Basel. My job is to remove the V.I.P. Interiors of many different aircraft so that the aircraft can undergo its periodic checks for airworthyness. Once the checks have been completed, I have to re-install the interiors back to their original configuration. I can't take all the credit for this work as I work as part of a large team. I found this forum whilst browsing the net looking for information about living in Basel, the reason for this is that there may be a chance of me going permanent here (forgot to mention that i'm currently contracting). I have a lot of searching to do through the previous posts on here by the looks of it.

Welcome to the Forum. Nice to hear a bit about what you are doing. Don't get a lot of views of VIP upholstery myself! Economy Class is more my line.
Basel is a pleasant city, but I hear you are into storms at the moment. I remember them too - surprised me a bit as I had only just come over from England then.
Hope all goes well with the job - you can sure spend a lot of time finding out more about living here before any decisions are made.
