Hi everyone,

Im from Sydney, Australia, and have been skimming the threads with my wife for a few months now,

I shall be moving to Vaud (not sure where yet) towards the end of the year and my wife early next year,

As i have a positon with Nestle hopefully i find somewhere near Vevey,

I have been to Vevey twice i enjoy the easier paced life, and since i am always hot in Australia the cooler climate suited me well, though i must admit a few times even i was shivering when a breeze came by.

This site has been quite useful and the varied answers seem to make me think, Switzerland is what you make of it.

When we do arrive hopefully we can find some english speaking freinds in Vaud.

There are many around the Vaud region and down to Geneva. Lausanne has an alcohol support group that's taken off - with the focus presently on alcohol

hi... i'm also moving to vevey in september with my family... will be working with Nestle Nutrition... am also from down under (NZ)... but for the past 1.5 years i'm in the middle east...

i will be coming over in late october so and hopefully i can find a place quickly. it is porbably a big ask but im hoping for a place with a private wash room as i think it will be chalenging for my wife to look after 2 kids under 2 and do all the washing. not impossible but i am trying to makes things as easy as possible to our new life.
