Newbie in Switzerland

Hi Everybody,

Have just moved to Switzerland (2 days ago) having never lived outside of the UK. We have moved here with my work and are currently living in Zug.

Big thank you to all those who have posted on here already as the information is really useful to people like us who really don't know what we are doing!!!

Bit of background...

Both Su and I (Dave) are 30 and from Surrey (although Su was born in Malaysia). We are both really into sports, I do a lot of martial arts and Su is really into tennis, triathlon and other horrible sports that feel like too much hard work.

Feeling nervous about living here but hopefully it will be a big adventure... fingers crossed

Hope to speak to you all soon

Dave and Su

Thanks to our late founder Mark, who passed away very recently, English Forum is a treasury of information. (I'm still reeling over the news.)

Ah, so you have the Malaysian connection. The "horrible sports/too much hard work" bit brought a smile to my sad mug -- I second that emotion.

If you guys want to join in a Malaysian-Singaporean meal, send me a PM.
Will keep you in the loop.

Hi, I would also recommed the Pickwick. I know the manager (David) and the team is great. They have just got london pride on tap so if you like a good pint then that is the place to go. All the best.
