Hello, new from Stockholm Sweden.

I got in contact with this forum thru Vbulletin.org and Mark Fyvie R.I.P.
I just today learned about his tragic accident.

Further I learned that you are a English speaking club in Switzerland which I find most interesting since I'm the Editor of the Newsletter for The English Speaking Community Club in Sweden. (Sorry to spam a link) www.escc.se

I thought it could be fun to get in contact with you since we have traveling members and I would guess that you do too. Maybe we can have (when ever in time) a little "English Clubs in EU" meeting .

Will be fun to "mingle" with you.

BR

Hi Lars-Erik, welcome to the forum! Your traveling members are welcome at EF events. But Sweden and Switzerland is the same country, right?

LMAO Yes... Blond Chicks and army knifes walk hand in hand.

Thank you for the welcome. We as a club have not decided yet if we wanna have a forum at our website, but we are discussing it.

I my self travel to Switzerland now and then in my work (I work with a special diamond marking laser) and I know we have many members that travel in Europe during vacations.
I have sent the link to your site to our board so you might get one or two sign ups more from Sweden.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

It's an interesting topic you bring up actually. I also travel a lot between different European countries and spend more than the occasional week-end there. It would be great to know of similar forums and clubs for those destinations I travel to.

Re: Hello, new from Stockholm Sweden.

Yes it would indeed.

I have added your forum as a link to other clubs on our webpage.

And I will (as I said earlier) bring this up on our next board meeting. (we have them monthly).

Don't laugh, my sister in law once very kindly sent us a set of newborn sized baby clothes for our little lad. She was very upset when six months later they landed up with us, covered in re-direction stickers, with whatever passes in Swedish for "Sweden is not Switzerland!!" written in large red capitals on the package.
You can just imagine the numpties in Rotherham post office: "Erm, (scratch, scratch, scratch).....S......um.....Wuh....yup, throw it in t'Switzerland box."

You cannot fit a quart into a pint pot, you cannot fit a 6 month old into newborn size romper-stompers.

Cheers

Jim
