I'd like to say hi to everyone, and I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself.
I stumbled upon this forum on google when I was searching for information on pursuing a career in CH. I'm afraid to have an opinion yet about career prospects here

, but hopefully I will find some solutions. So here are my basic stats:
Canadian from Serbia (thank you, I own you one Canada)
23 yrs old male
BSc in Finance (Applied Economics and Management to be more specific) from Cornell University, USA
Interests: working in financial services, hedge funds, basketball, tennis, learning German
The main reason I'm in CH is because of my girl, but I would love to get into the financial industry here in order to pursue my career. Plus I am absolutely in love with this country, especially Lugano, but CH is small enough that everybody can enjoy every corner of it. I somewhat agree with opinions expressed in this forum (which by the way looks like is populated with good peoples) that CH is fairly conservative place socially and politically, but having lived in 4 different countries before, I really learned to appreciate the favorable economic climate of a place before anything else. As to this being a place that one would have difficulty socially integrating in, the best thing I can say is that even Peoria Illinois has a salsa club.
When it comes to pursing my career I have some things working in my favor, and some that might hinder that ambition, the most sinister one being the work visa issue. Well wish me luck, and feel free to include some comments and advice. I hope this ends up as a success story, I'll keep you posted.
