Re: Return to Zurich

Hello Mark and Welcome to the Forum.
As your Intro was unanswered for an unusual length of time, I can only imagine that some of the 30 other folk who read it did a sort of double-take, like me.
Having grown up in the pre-electric-typewriter era, I only recently found out that BOLD print, in texts like these, is considered to be shouting. For me red text is quite difficult to read anyway. So - that's out of the way.

There are quite a few youngsters (to me that means under forty!) in the Zürich area. If you check the calendar (in the heading line) and the Social Events down at the bottom of the 'Forums' you should find something to interest you. In Sports Activities there are also members arranging to ski together. As so many people on the Forum are, with regards to making friends, in much the same boat, you shouldn't have any difficulty in making contacts if you look around.
Good luck.

Re: Return to Zurich

right I will use boring Defualt text, thought red would stand out more and bold for people who do not wish to squint , I guess I am too considerate thanks for pointing things like this out , I am new and not sure of the rules , can only find out by mistakes to a degree I guess thanks Mark r

Re: Return to Zurich

I like red! And it's nice to be different....but yeah, maybe a bit bold!

All the best back in Switzerland.

I didn't want to be too critical - well, not more than I usually am. This was just a case of 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'! After all the thought you put into it, I still had to squint to read it. Bad luck! Actually with increasing age! I find it quite fascinating to learn a bit about Fonts and Typesetting in general. Only now do I realise how complicated 'easy to read' really is. The exact dimensions of the letters themselves, the distance between the letters, the words and the lines of writing is much more important than I ever thought. We live and learn.
Hope you have managed to get some skiing in.
Have a good weekend.
