You find it arrogantly pretentious? ok I've edited it but what so pretentious about stating one's previous job, the Four movies one could watch over and over, Four TV shows one loves to watch, four places one has been "on vacation", four of one's favorite foods and lastly "Four places one would like to be/go right now.

It's a simple looking for common interest and share experiences "breaking the ice" kinda thing.

Weather Forecaster? I worked for a weather office for 4 years. I never read the weather - my accent is just too odd. But I can talk about towering cirrus and thunderfrost with the worst of them

And re 4 things I hate:

3. People who order for the whole table at restaurants
4. Oasis and U2. They may create good music but they are also w*nkers.
5. The UN Security Council. It needs a major revamp.
