Need some mature family oriented friends!!

Hi there!!

My Fiance and I are 23 and 34. We both were working in Zurich before we met, and going out to keep company. Obviously we picked up a few acquaintances, but not material for good mates! Now that we have started a family, and have a new baby our priorities have changed needless to say!! He is british and I am american, and my dad lives her and can baby sit sometimes. But we would love for some other couples, or me even some girlfriends, of a bit more mature lifestyle persuasion!! I have the baby all day and would love for some other Mum company, and in the future some play date mates! Please let me know if you are in the same situation, or have the same interests and looking for new friends here as well, or if you know of any other threads posting about new and english Mums getting together with new babies! THanks

Hi,

Congratulations on being a mum - we had our first child when I was 23, and it was definitely a shock to the social-life!

Some of the mums from the forum have been meeting recently - look for 'mas' on the forum - she has all the info!

Also, there are a few english-speaking playgroups around - put 'playgroup zurich' into the forum search and see what you come up with !

When you are away for the baby, don't you want to talk about things other than babies? I am just being a bit facetious, good luck with your search, I am sure there is alot of opportunities for social interaction with those similarly situated. Congrats and Have fun .

Ah, I think from other posts on EF there are a couple of playgroups up that way - someone else may well pitch in and answer that for you!

I am moving to Stafa in a couple of weeks and I have a 15 month old girl, so if you ever fancy meeting up in Zurich, PM me!
