Just a quick introduction, my name is Stephen, I am a regular visitor to Switzerland, both socially and with my business. Am enjoying reading the forums and finding some very useful information.

Hi and welcome to the forum, where abouts do you visit in Switzerland.

Which airport do you use in the UK? Liverpool or M'Chester? And where do you tend to fly to in Switzerland?

My wife and I used to live in Cheshire and when we return from time to time we find Easyjet to and from Liverpool is by far the cheapest, and most reliable on time keeping.

London City flights are pretty good too, but much more expensive most of the time.

Thanks for the welcome. When I fly, it is from Liverpool to Geneva, however most of the times I visit is with my business and then I have to drive. I am actually driving to Zinal this weekend on business and will be visiting friends in Basle on the way home. clive7, I notice that you live in area 1844, I have a very good client who lives in Montreux with a wonderful view over the lake from their apartment.

Wow that's a heck of a drive StephenR! I used to live in Warrington, and have driven back and too a couple of times (when I was bringing my stuff over) - The first time it took 21 hours (during that really deep freeze Europe had over Christmas, it was sooooo cold in France my -30C screen wash frooze and cracked the washer nozzles!!). Only took about 15-16 each way last time.
