Hi!

I have been lurking around in the background for a while (a few months...) but since its all confirmed that we are moving now, I thought I would bite the bullet and introduce myself!

My name is Megan, and I'm an Aussie, currently living in Derry, Northern Ireland. I've come on a bit of a roundabout route - from Melbourne originally, then Shanghai for 3.5 years, now here for about a year. Now we're moving on again, Ciaran, my husband has been employed by a firm in Basel, although we are planning to live across the border in France (more property for your money!)

I just wanted to say hello, and thank you to everyone who has helped (without realising it!!) with information etc on moving and settling in to life in Switzerland.

Thanks for finally signing up. It just goes to show there are more "lurkers" out there than we realise I kind of suspected that many people were using this site before they actually got to Switzerland.

Maybe we need to think about getting more organised with some frequently-asked questions and various guides for newcomers.
