My teenage daughter

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and would like to start by saying how impressed I am with it. Now I am signed up I wonder why I didn't do it before. The reality is I got inspired by my 15 year old daughter, as this is really an introduction for her.
I'm a Brit who has been here for over 2 years having moved partly for work, but mostly to be with my Norwegian girlfriend. Probably the best decision of my life since I truly love it here and that girlfriend is now my wife with our first baby due in 4 weeks! We moved recently out of Zurich just down the lake a bit to a great house and life couldn't be happier.
The other great thing is that I have two daughters (youngest is 7) by a previous marriage who live in London, but love coming to visit. I see them every two weeks (lots of airmiles), but they come here more and more, which leads me to the thing that made me sign up for the forum. We have lots of friends with kids the age of the youngest, but I am in desperate need of finding some local friends for my eldest. She is at an age now where she wants to be with other teenagers, and Dad is not so interesting. They are here for 10 days later this week and was hoping there is someone out there with other middle teen kids happy to meet someone new in the Zurich area, or are there any youth clubs people would recommend?

Re: My teenage daughter

Hi Mawds

Welcome to the Forum, very nice friendly first post.

You may want to post your request for teenage companionship in the Family folder, as the Introductions threads pile up quickly and you might drop off the front page before many people have a chance to see your message.

Congrats on your wedding and almost baby - very best wishes for the birth.

Re: My teenage daughter

Welcome to the EF, and I'll add my congratulations as well!

I know a few of my daughter's school friends have slightly older siblings, but I don't know many of them all that well - and those I do know live a bit out of the city. Good luck with the search, though! Perhaps if she's here regularly enough to join a club, or a gym, there may be possibilities there? Every second week usually makes things like that tough, though ... but it may be worth a shot.

Re: My teenage daughter

The Kilchberg or Ruschlikon badi (don't know which one, the directly across the street from the chocolate factory) has a lot of English speaking kids from the ZIS school, maybe send her there ?

If she likes shopping, boys, Twilight, Ben Barnes, gossip, the pool and is on Facebook- pm me, I might have the perfect teen for you.
