My name is Rani and i have just moved back to the Geneva area for my husband`s job.
I`d love to meet some people around and get a few contacts.
I am also just finishing a really creative Psychotherapy course and am looking for clients. For the first few clients i won`t be charging. I just want to keep in the flow, until i set up my own practice.
I am also a trained Psychologist.

Hi Rani and welcome to this forum where nice and funny, sometimes grumpy people meet. The first few clients might therefore be EFers, just wait and see what happens Online counseling is the magic word (I do it myself, being a social worker). Good luck, though!

I was advised that most of the stores are closed on sundays and the only ones open are located in the airport...

So for the people in geneva, where did you go on sundays?

We had the same worries about Sundays when we moved here from Canada, but we have gotten used to it. There's actually a lot to do depending on your interests. Museums, cafes, restaurants etc are usually open, so they are a good Sunday afternoon option, as is going for a hike, bike ride, or a dip in Lake Geneva. Sundays in the winter, for me, are often reserved for snowboarding.

Well, as Nickyboy has pointed out, outdoor activities are your choices and some last minute shopping/grocery in the airport is your last resort.

The small Champion grocery in Ferney is open until 12 noon.
