Girl Drummer in Zürich!

Hi everyone,
I'm girl drummer moving to Zürich in a few weeks, I have a nice room in a villa in Gockhausen... with a swimming pool!!!
Actually I'm new to the music scene of the city, I wonder if you have any tips on how to find a band here too... I love gigs and I'm used to do a lot of them in Milan where I'm from!
I have two girls bands: Chica Chups (4 girls - rock/pop) and Rougenoire Babies (5 girls - hard rock) if you want to see pics and gigs video here you go:

--> www.myspace.com/chicachups
--> www.rougenoire.it

If any of you plays an instrument at all and wants to form a band I'm definitely interested! Or if you can just tell me where to look for band members, band practice clubs or pubs where to perform...
Grazie!

Welcome to the Forum.

Suggest you start looking in local music stores: They often have a notice board where there are adverts for musicians.

Re: Girl Drummer in Zürich!

Hehe, seems like all the musicians are arriving at once There's at least three of us down in Zug, and one friend in Zurich who are looking to get together and just play a bit, maybe go along to a few open mic nights here and there, to be honest I've had no time recently to sort anything out but if you're interested let me know and I'll try and get everyone's online heads together

Yes indeed!
I have no idea where to play for band practice, but I'm open to suggestions.
What instruments do you guys play?

My name comes from a carachter in the famous Japanese anime - SPIRITED AWAY - by Hayao Miyazaki.
I lived in Japan for 3 years during which the anime was released, I loved Kaonashi!!
He was so... puzzling!!

Re: Girl Drummer in Zürich!

Ciao!
gluca

Sorry, was out of the loop for a little while and only just saw this...from memory, there's a few who play guitar (me included), one who plays bass, me who can sort of sing (depends on the genre though, don't have the screaming skills for death metal hehe) and your good self who is a drummer

There's an open stage (of sorts) in Baden tomorrow but I don't think I can make it along...details are on the Forum in a thread about "ex pat bar in baden" but I can't find it just now
