Easy to Migrating to Switzerland?

Hi

Sorry to take your time. I have been issued a family visa but i do not wish to marry.
Is it easy to enter Switzerland with a family visa and find a job and live happily after in beautiful Switzerland by myself.

Or Swiss laws are not easy to get by?

Many thanks

No, it is not easy nor, in fact, possible.

In your case, I should hope not - you received your visa under false pretenses.

Don't even try it.

Thanks for helping improve the reputation of spouses of Swiss citizens, making life more difficult for us all.

I would have been embarrassed to ask such a question

What is there to be embarrased about?
Even if I have a visa it is better not to marry if feelings change than succumb to temptation of living in beautiful Switzerland.
If I wanted to cheat or misuse (fake marriage) I would not come to the forum to present actual scenario.
I simply thought that family visa was easy to change (if have a job offer) than tourist visa.

Stop acting so silly.

Pretending marriage for visa reasons or similar, is in fact a crime. You will have to face much more problems than you think currently.

If you have a job, then your company will organise the necessary permit.

What makes you think that a family visa can simply be exchanged into something that suits more your current life style or whims ?

I suggest you go over the books again and look for yourself how you wish to come to Switzerland - maybe with the embassy?

In addition your country of origin (...wala, India?) is not on the list for same procedure as say someone from England or France.

Be a bit more realistic.

You're kidding, right? The visa was issued based on your intended marriage - if you 'change your mind' the grounds for which the visa was issued no longer exist therefore you no longer qualify. End of.

If you have a job, your employer will apply for a visa based on employment grounds.

I thank you for your answers:
1) If I get a job employer will arrange visa.
2) Embassy can help
3) Procedures are not same for all countries

Some countries do allow change of visa if you have job lined up. So some of the statements are incorrect.

As far as forum users concern about intended marriage is concerened no matter what I say, it will not satiate anyones parania. you have to shell out lot of money (almost 2months salary/wages) and months and months of waiting to get a family visa.
Money and months wait is embassies way of deciding if intended marriage is genuine.
Are you then saying the Switz consulate abroad is silly and unrealistic for determining intended wedding and issue of family visa?

If you are saying that it takes months and months of waiting to get a spouse visa it is precisely because people like you intend to cheat the system!!!!!!! and dont feel proud of cheating the swiss authorities!!!!!

You want to live happily ever after in this beautiful country, but you dont intend to respect the people or the rules!!!! Before I become too rude let me just say what everyone else has already said, you are breaking the law.

And BTW does your Swiss spouse know????

The first step towards having respect for laws of the country is by showing respect for people on the forum.

You changing your mind regarding your marriage is your personal decision and we dont have the right to interfere on that. But this is a free forum and I have my right to have my say

Now to the point,a family reunification visa/permit as the name would suggest is always linked to the original permit holder. So once you are not getting married legally the visa will be revoked.

If you have a job then the better way is to talk to your employer and figure out if he can get you an independent work permit! This will free you from all the hassle!

Two quick comments: first, here we are discussing a (potential) personal problem, so personal questions are absolutely necessary.

Second, what your ex-future-spouse thinks about this is extremely pertinent to how this case will evolve . Unless you are proceeding with your application de novo and independently, but that doesn't seem to be the case here

Embarrassed that you actually have been lying to the person who asked for you (the reason you got the visa). And have the guts to ask for help on how to carry this about...
