Hello everyone,

I am fairly new to Basel (4 months now) and definitely new to the forum, but enjoying it thoroughly. A bit about myself:

I am a 30-year-old transplantee from the midwestern U.S., my first time living abroad, working as a pharma scientist. I studied french many many years ago, and some of that is coming back to me now, but I am still at a total loss with German! Living in Basel is suiting me beautifully, as I love to travel and have done a fair amount of that in the past 4 months. I love the mountains most of all, and I couldn't ask for a better country for that!

I look forward to meeting many of you fellow Baslers, and others as well! If you are into biking, hiking, camping, etc, we surely have something in common. However, I am always open to new things and new people, so drop me a line anytime!!

Basel is a great place to work (as I do) and there's lots of stuff to see and do.
