Hello from Canada

Just wanted to say Hello. I am planning to move to Switzerland soon, as I will be getting Married there.

Found the forums by accident, and have enjoyed reading. I hope to get to talk to some of you folks

English Speaker, so German lessons will be a must when I move. I am an IT Guy for the last 20 odd years. I will be living in the north, between Zurich and Basel.

Have spent a bit of time there and love the land, the people , the food, the Feldschlossen and can't wait to be there full Time. I miss my Fiance terribly and have been doing the back and forth thing for over 3 years now.

Thats about it. Questions?

Oh they have beer, but when you look at less than 10 chf for 10 beer there, and almost 20 CDN for 12 beer here, you get used to it

Not to mention that we cant go to the corner store here and get beer or wine lol

Agree the laws of Upper Canada are restrictive regarding alcohol, something the Lower Canadians figured out long ago.

hope you get settled in quickly and get to enjoy other swiss delicasies such as R I V E L L A or rogusa , or frigor , or cervelat, maybe suchard express and then some nice rosti and speck to finish it all off.
its a great country , love it when i'm there and miss it when i'm not.

Well, I have my Entry Visa, and I land the morning of December 31st. So I start my new year in Switzerland

So a quiet celebration as we toast in the New Life together, and the new year. Not Bad I would say.
