Hello! I am a university student from Canada planning to go on exchange next year at the University of Lausanne. I am studying French and other languages and I have always been interested in Switzerland so I am very excited! I am also lacking information so I would love some help!

I was hoping that someone could give be a break down of a typical week in a Swiss university, specifically the structure, length, etc. of courses and whatnot.

Also, I am currently filling out my exchange application. One of the components is a form of estimated expenses. Can someone please tell me how much the following cost on a monthly basis (average)?

1. Bus and train fare.
2. Cellphone bill.
3. Basic groceries.
4. Leisurely activities (such as going to the movies, a museum, a club, etc.).
5. Other academic costs (books and other fees that I may not know about).

Basically, I would budget 30% to 40% more than Toronto.
