Hi... I'm new in the forum. I'm moving to Zurich in July to start a new job. Anyone else? I'm so nervous!!! It's unnerving... I'm so going to be alone and although I know a couple of people in the city, I'm not really that close to them. Of course! I start mid July but my relocation officer will start the ball rolling to find me a flat in Zurich soon. I'll be in Zh first week of July so I can start viewing flats...

What a coinky-dink, I'm moving back to Zurich from NY end of June. I'm moving back to my parents' home for a while to redirect my plans and work on some stuff, but I have no idea if I want to get back in contact with my old friends though.

Why wouldn't you want to contact old friends? I suppose being away does make one a different person, are you afraid they wont like the new you? or the new you wont like them?

I think it's the latter, they kind of annoyed my 5 years ago and I bet now we won't have anything to talk about anyway. Also, I went through so many friends here in NY that I've gotten used to it by now. As long as I can see my family again I should be good.

Actually, I'll be working in Boston but plan to visit an old friend in Long Island. Probably spend a day touring NYC too - then back to UK and a long drive in a van to Zug. It'll all be worth it!!

SweetDaisy - forgot to ask you when you're moving to Zurich. Mine is July 1 and I start work July 15... Need a few days to get settled and stuff.
