Hello to everyone!
I am a russian female, currently applying for a master's program in UNIL.
Hope to be in Lausanne in August.
Awaiting for this exciting experience. And glad that I've found that web-site.

Snow is heavy and beautiful - all is white, the real winter as usually.
How is it is Lausanne? Any chance to see something similar adn should I get used to a new climate?

Welcome to the forum. Lausanne is beautiful, scenic. Not so cold and not so much snow as for you there but you can quickly get to the snowy mountains from Lausanne.

Hi and Welcome! I spent last new years in Moscow, and man was it cold! Actually it was awesome conditioning for an Australian to prepare me for the Swiss winters... winter seems warm here compared to Moscow! lol Walking around Moscow in -20 degree weather in Australian shoes almost made my toes fall off... Anyway yep, great community here and lots of information, i'm sure you'll enjoy Switzerland once you arrive!
