Hi - newby here and needing a bit of help (Lucerne)

Hi

We have the ok to move over to Lucerne and are looking for somewhere to rent in Adligenswil, LU.

As a first step we (two of us) want to come over June-end Sepember so if anyone has any idea how we can find somewhere to stay for that short period then please let me know! Alternatively I'm happy to rent for a year as a maximum period although I understand this is still a very short length of time in Swiss terms.

Anyway thought I would say hi!

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

If you're being sponsored in your trip - ie, business - see if they can assist. Alternatively, if doing it yourself the rental period is quite short. However, there are plenty of places offering furnished accomodation with the obvious surcharge. You'll also be charged extra for short term rental, but this needn't be punitive. Shop around!

I'm sure those in your destination area will have ideas or links

Adligenswil - short-term rental for newbie

Nice to get some hi's - thanks :-)

No - the move is nothing to do with business just a fresh start for us.

Ok - if anyone has any idea if there is something furnished available in Adligenswil for short-term rent that would be super!

I can't actually find any only in Lucerne, more central.

Hi,
We live in Adligenswil. Great little village, but nothing much comes up for rent - especially on a short term basis. We are moving (reluctantly) in June, so not much good to you.
As mentioned, I would have thought more chance in Luzern. My partner rented short term there (6 months), but you can get shorter. All managed apartments, so not so cheap.
Best thing to do is to keep an eye on the forum and the property websites. If I hear of anything coming up in the village, I will PM you, but short term is v unlikely! It is only us foreigners who move short term!
Good luck with your plans.
