feeling lonely in lausanne?

Hello, I have been living in Lausanne for nearly 2 years now, but because of my work I haven't been able to socialize as much as I like to. I can sometimes feel a bit lonely, miss my friends, to have a girly laugh...Is there any one feeling the same? Now my job changed a bit so I will have more time over and will try to meet more people in the area. Im 34 years old living with my boyfriend. If there is anyone that like to catch up for a coff'e, drink, chat, work out...let me know and we can arrange something

I am new here too, so without google mapping, is Lausanne close to Basel? We have a ladies night once a month, and would invite you if you would like to come...

Re: feeling lonely in lausanne?

Hi,

I know what you mean, I've missed so much over the past year or so due to work and I really miss my girl friends.

There is a good crowd in this area. I think there is a comedy/karaoke night on Wednesdays every two weeks, drinks on Thursdays every two weeks. Have a look at the calendar.

If reading is your thing, then there is a book club meeting tomorrow night in Morges.

I'll pm you some other stuff

Miffo

We have a wonderful jazz club here in Lausanne called Chorus, below Mon Repos swimming pool. Great ambiance, some very good groups come through, some nights its no entry charge. http://www.chorus.ch/

Catch a gig or two; think there's a good chance you'll meet some cool worldly people.

Hi miffo! i'm in lausanne- quite near the center, so if you want to meet up with a coffee or drink one day- just let me know!
also, we have a book club that meets in morges once a month, so that's a really good way to meet up and make friends as well.

Re: feeling lonely in lausanne?

Hi Miffo.

Yep, really miss my girlfriends also, so know how you feel. I have no problem in meeting other people but finding it really difficult to meet girls who I get along with and share the same interests. I live in the city and work monday to friday and usually spend the weekends with my boyfriend and his mates. (The joys!!)
If you want to meet up for a coffee or a beer some evening, that would be nice. Let me know if you want to.
J.

Hello! I moved to Lausanne 2 months ago but due to frequent work travels did not have time neither to explore Lausanne nor to make some acquaintances. Would be glad to find some new social contacts in the area.About myself: Russian by origin, 26 years old, speak English, Italian.
