Though I am currently living in Munich, there is a possibility that I will move to Zurich this summer.
I am an American, from the Northwest, but am no stranger to Europe. So far, I've been fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of opportunities to live in France, Germany, and Tirol, and am currently back in Germany until this summer while my husband is on a professional fellowship. We have a baby, and this time in Germany has given me a chance to stay home with him, something I didn't expect to appreciate quite as much as I do!
I am passionate about languages and intercultural exchange, and so I hope to get back to working in one of those fields. I speak both German and French, and, thanks to being able to receive the SF television channels in Tirol, I can understand some Swiss German... a little.

I appreciate already the support offered by this forum, and look forward to being a bit more active!

If you can find a way to keep the humitidy under control, sure!

Let us know what area of Zurich you are planning to move to when you find out. There are various mothers groups so you can get support from other expat mothers in your area.

I have found these contact invaluable for info on doctors, hospitals, places to go with the kids and the like.
