You read my mind dakman. And I believe the Giro starts next weekend - I was going to try and see a few stages of Tours de Romandie, Suisse, and the Grand Tours (at least the Giro and TdF due to proximity) this year - did you ever see one of the staged during your time here?

Tour De Romandie - saw a time trial in Lausanne

Tour De Suisse - road and saw a time trial on Klausen Pass. One of my better memories, even played an alphorn for Fabian Cancellara (actually that was another efer who I won't name)

Tour de France - stage finish in Mullhouse which Rasmussen won by miles

Tour of Zurich - went by my apartment a few years until it was cancelled

Enjoy.

Welcome to the country at last.
Hope you've got some food with you in your luggage. 1st May is a holiday here. Probably motorway shops are open though... or you could do a tour on your bike and see what you can find.

Have a good weekend.
Actually May 1st is only a holiday in about 10 cantons and as luck would have it, it's not in Geneva...

Jim

I hope you're right, Jim, or more precisely, that Wikipedia is right. I don't have a US to Suisse plug adapter, and missed the stores. Twas told at SBUX, and by an owner of a magazine shop that the stores are closed tomorrow...

Not sure if Wiki is right, or Anglo info is, but they say May 1 is a public holiday - http://geneva.angloinfo.com/information/11/pub_hols.asp

For an adapter, try the airport shops, or a pharmacy...
