New in Bern

Hi All,

I'm Andy from Southampton in the UK. I've been in Bern for one month now and my wife and 2-year-old daughter will join me soon.

I work for a software consultancy company based at a Swisscom Mobile site in a job that would put you all to sleep if I described it.

I enjoy playing 5-a-side football, cycling and windsurfing so I would like to do at least some of those things here. I'm also keen to take advantage of living in Switzerland to try snowboarding in the winter.

I speak enough Spanish to communicate with my in-laws (my wife is from Venezuela) but not enough to get involved in long conversations with them, which I think is about the right level

From what I've read so far in these forums it seems like there is a good community here. I hope can contribute.

Cheers,

Andy.

Re: New in Bern

Maybe you can still come to the dinner tomorrow? Contact lordmoney in that case.

By the way, windsurfing is pretty disappointing, there is hardly any wind, apart from the occasional storm with Bft 6 plus..(you can windsurf on lake Neuchatel for example).

Re: New in Bern

Hi Polorise,

No, I'm actually at the Liebefield site. I believe the building is brand new as they moved from Ostermundigen last year.

Cheers,
Andy.
