Faisal here, a Brit (originally from Windsor in Berkshire) moved to Zurich over 7 months ago......feel just as isolated and lonely as the first day i arrived. Consider myself as an extremely friendly and outgoing person, so cant really understand why its so hard to make friends here.

Where does one go to meet people, to enjoy someones company, to laugh, to share food over a chit chat (like what i had back home in london)

I understand the Swiss Culture is VERY reserved and SHY, but honestly - will i be thirsty for years to come before they ask me out for a drink? hell - I've tried approaching them, but they just back (maybe it's my duck face that puts them off.......)

If anyone has any space in there lives for another friend, would love to hear from you....hungry for affectionate, warm people......

Go to Kanzlei Schulhaus, Xenix Bar (near Helvetiaplatz/Langstrasse). You will find tons of open minded people there.
