Re: Hello Bern, meet Bern.

Hey thought it was interesting, I am from Vancouver Canada also, and living really close to Bern. I married young to a Swiss guy, now we are here in Switzerland but I miss Vancouver..I am 'youngish' 25, but I have two very small children so I feel 'oldish' haha..I love the city of Bern a lot but I live in a town and that is not so fun for me..As I am use to wild Commercial Drive in Vancouver. I am thinking of taking a Swiss German course at the Klubschule in Bern, I have a foundation in High German but the locals don't like it too much, (High German) so I want to take Swiss German, it starts in November. I use to teach Montessori Kindergarten in Vancouver and sing with a church band, here is a link to my sims on stage singing site, and maybe we will all meet at the Swiss German course in Bern!!

Re: Hello Bern, meet Bern.

Hey! I completely know what you are going through...I just moved here 3 weeks ago from the states (oregon). Don't really know too many people besides my boyfriend's friends...We met when we were both studying abroad in Sweden last fall. I graduated with my bachelor's in Business and decided it was time to make the move so here I am. I'm 22, only speak English and definatley have some time to kill as well. I'm also interested in photography. I checked out your pics and love the comment about Coop We just moved into our apartment in Ostring but I know where Monbijoustrasse is...nice place! If you want to hang out7get to know some people, here's my email:
elise.eberhardt@gmail.com

Oh and I think German (high german first) lessons would def be beneficial. I'm starting them today through uni but Migros does have good classes as well. My boyfriend's mother works there so I'll ask her about them.

Take care!
elise

Re: Hello Bern, meet Bern.

I go out the weekend In bern ... I meet a few young swiss people that don't mind speaking in english to me.
But its hard to talk to some of the women since unless they've been abroad they can't speak any english or don't want to.
I was tought there would be more intersting nightlife in bern. I think I'll have to check out zurich one of these days.

Well see you in bern maybe !

Hi Bernk, I couldn't help but notice that you're an interactive designer living in Bern and enjoy snowboarding. Well I'm a product designer living in Bern and enjoy snowboarding. Funnily enough I also like Canada/Canadians. Would be cool to meet at one of these Livers and Lovers events if you ever go.

Re: Hello Bern, meet Bern.

Hey thanks dude!

I would love to hook up with some mags. I've sent some stuff to TWSnow a while ago but haven't tried since. At the moment I'm in a bit of a sad situation without a camera : (
