Brand new to forum - Looking for tips & tricks in relocating to Lausanne from Miami!

Greeting everyone!

My name is Robert, I'm 27 years old and I currently live in Miami, Florida. To mention a few things about myself: I'm currently in the IT field as a computer support technician. I enjoy working out, surfing the internet (StumbleUpon!), playing and watching American football, basketball, traveling, listening to music, and playing video games!

The first time I went to Switzerland it was because I was sent on an exchange program from my current job to Nyon three years ago. Living in Switzerland for a month and some change, it was pretty much love at first sight. Not to mention I happened to meet my beautiful and wonderful fiancée while on that trip. I travel back and forth from Miami to Lausanne to see her and her family and just like any long distance relationship it has come to that point where the one person must join the other.

Needless to say, I'm hoping to find employment in Switzerland to hopefully obtain a working permit. I currently have my resume/CV circulating in Jobup.ch. I was actually directed to this forum from a hopeful job prospect but they declined to proceed forward with an interview due to the possible difficulties in obtaining a working permit. I'm hoping to get lots of positive and helpful advice on my journey to eventually make the grand move to Switzerland!

I would recommend putting your internet surfing skills to work to track down every recruitment agency in Lausanne (and Geneva?) which has any IT related positions and start contacting them directly with your CV and resume. It will probably also help your cause to scan and send a standard reference letter from your previous employer if possible.
