Hi everyone. Since moving from San Francisco to Baar in February I've been busy taking German classes and trying to get used to get used to living here. Although my German has gotten better I haven't made many friends outside of my partner's longtime friends from when he lived 18 years ago...and they all live in Zurich.

I joined EF last Winter but haven't been very active. So today I decided it's time to change that.

My partner and I also moved to Switzerland in February and are living in Baar at the moment! Like you I havent been very pro-active on meeting people as of yet (in the pipeline to change this situation!) If you ever want to grab a coffee or something let me know!

Zug is quite nice in the summer! the old town offers you a cool variety of bars and esplanades. During winter, then definitely Zurich or Lucern.

I too moved here in February and have enjoyed the summer events along Lake Zug. I have found a couple of nice bars etc. Im Hof is quite nice for a quiet drink. I tend to avoid Pickwicks unless I want to watch the icehockey or rugby. An evening apero at the top of the zugerberg is also nice.

Otherwise we have tried bowling in Sihlbrugg (nightmare to get to via public transport) and pool in Cham - both ok but you do need a group to go with.

Also look at the Zug4you website, (in English) which does advertise some expat focussed events.
