Another trailing spouse

Hi all. I'm living here in the centre of Zurich, with my partner who works as an Engineer in Baden (no prizes for guessing the company, it branded all over that town - lol). We're from South Manchester, where our UK house is currently occupied by tenants.

I'm not working at the moment, having moved here to be with him, and then spending a bit of time in the Zollikerberg hospital (a really nice place to be if you have to spend time in hospital) where they sorted me out really well! But, I'm an IT professional with a specialism in mobile phone development right now.

My partner and I have spent the last year exploring Switzerland, and feel like we have done all the four corners, the lowest parts (Lago Maggiore) and with a car trip from Andermatt to Sion via the Realp motorail yesterday, some of the highest points. Still got to get to the top of Europe though (Jungfraujoch)

I've noticed that there's a tradition of not posting names here, so sticking with that, I'll just call myself Kase (it's nothing to do with cheese, it's a vocalised contraction of my initials - it's what they used to call me at work)

Cheers for now
Kase

Re: Another trailing spouse

Welcome to the forums.

It is a great country to drive around and explore. Loads of wonderful natural beauty.

If your man is working up in Baden, then I will extend the offer for you guys for some drinks in the area with me and one or two other ex-pats if you fancy.

Ciao
