People, US weekly, Cosmo, Good Housekeeping

I'm moving back to the states, and looking into the possibility of starting a business supplying American Women's Magazines to xpats in Switzerland. Shipments would be once a month, and would include any magazine available in the states. (aside from nudie mags, I won't ship those!) I know I have been dying to get ahold of People, Cosmo, Good Housekeeping, and all of those great girlie mags. So, I just wanted to see how many people would be interested. If receiving all of your women's magazines once a month is something you would be interested in, please let me know, and I will see what I can do!

Re: People, US weekly, Cosmo, Good Housekeeping

Hi! I moved to Zurich from the States and definitely missed the US magazines, so I know exactly where you're coming from! A girlfriend of mine at home was able to get me a subscription to Cosmo (the US, not UK version), so I get it delivered to me here in Zurich every month, just like I would if I was home. I got the August issue earlier this week! I don't know how much it costs for the subscription since I received it as a gift, but I just wanted to give you the heads up that you could get at least that US magazine delivered over here just like you would in the States. Just thought you might want to know that it's something that can already be done since you're looking into it as a business venture. Obviously, I don't know exactly what you're game plan is, so this might not matter, but I just wanted to pass the info along in case you weren't aware of it. Best of luck!

When we first moved here, we were able to have most of our magazines sent here directly. In most cases, they honored the existing subscription price until renewal time...so for those of you moving here in the near future...extend your subscription prior to changing your address with the publisher. It will save you some $ for the first year or so.

Do you really want the US version of Gentlemans Quarterly? It will be all button-down collars and plaid...

Look at the german or even UK version if looking for advice on being the suave man-about-town.
