I have taken a brand new contract from Orange (2 months). But I will need to move out of Switzerland by 28th Oct.
Hence looking for someone to whom I can transfer the contract.

How can I get out of the contract? I asked Orange specifically and they mentioned that I will have to pay penalty if I want to get out of the contract.

If you show them the proof of leaving (letter from immigration office and the air ticket), they should terminate the contract with out penalty.

Tell them you are leaving the country. I am not sure what the situation will be, usually the penalty is that you pay for the phone which is understandable however you wouldn't have to pay the subscriptions as they would normally ask you to do.

I showed them the letter from Swiss Authorities which says I am leaving the country. Even then they want me to either continue to paythe monthly charges or pay the penalty.
Transfer will be the best option. I am willing to take a cut on the amount I payed.

I think your contract should be atleast 6 month old, after that if you leave the country (europe) they will deregister it for free.

Go to the shop and try to take a contract - you will find out how much they charge

its all in the link, and I already did, 6 months ago, iphone4 black 16gb 99chf, 2 years. as I said even there cheapest line rental and most expensive handset isn't 570chf

Right, get some real figures and then post on here, we're not gonna take an iphone 4 with a 35 a month contract for 500 when we can get it for less directly from Orange!

what you paid matters not a jot anyway, as anyone can walk into an orange shop today and get an iphone on contract for 1chf, so why should they dig you out of a hole and pay you for the privilege

22 months remaining on contract = 22 x 35 (chf/m) = 770 CHF
Your asking price 500 CHF

in short a used iPhone4 = 500+770 = 1270 CHF.
