- Baby Safe Plus infant car seat from Britax/Römer – several years old but in good condition, never been dropped or in an accident (very important when buying a used car seat!); when I originally bought it, I did a lot of research and it was the no. 1 rated infant car seat; it is the kind you secure using a seatbelt. Navy blue with thin white lines in a wide-spaced graph paper pattern - very attractive, simple and straightforward, no teddy bears or balloons. I still have the manual with the instructions.

- an Exersaucer Classic (these are nearly impossible to find
here...I had to go to a huge effort to bring one from
the U.S.) The Exersaucer made life a whole lot easier – both girls loved sitting in it and it was a safe place to put the baby when I had to take a quick shower or do some cooking.
