[Wanted] US measuring set: Cup, Table/Teaspoon, etc. [Küsnacht-ZH]

We are tired of recalculating recipies from cups to ml etc. and would like to have a full measuring set for American cooking measurements.

Ideally it would be very classic old set or very stylish newer one.

Thanks.

I find I get much more accurate measures (and therefore more successful baking outcomes ) when I use a scale for both liquid and dry measurements. It may be easier to get an electric scale rather than measuring cups. Mine can be changed from ounces to grams in the settings.

We have an electric gram scale. That might be the ticket. Just to make a chart that is always next to the scale and then weigh everything.

But does a 1/2 teaspoon of salt weight the same as a 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder or vanilla extract?

I got my set in Ikea, not very stylish, but does the job! Failing that, there are plenty on ebay for sale.

Thanks, Nic80

The conversion site with the option to indicate what exactly you are measuring is fabulous.

You're welcome.
I've not had a recipe fail since I started using weights instead of cup measures... it's worth the little extra time converting them
Happy cooking!
