I am looking for a person to drive from Zurich to Dusseldorf in between 9-10th of May.

We (me and my girlfriend) have a flight to catch at 06:25 on 10th of May so would need to leave Zurich at midnight in order not to rush it.

You could get a train from Basel Bad Station to Düsseldorf airport leaving Basel at 2022 on the evening of the 9th arriving at the airport at 0240 the next morning (with a change n Frankfurt) and it will cost you all of 19 EUR per person.

Much cheaper, easier and safer than taking the car....

Swiss has a flight to Dusseldorf at 20:40.
I think that is much more convenient than the car and probably just as expensive.

And anyway, leaving Zurich at midnight (as the OP suggested) for a 6am flight from Düsseldorf would be dodgy to say the least....

There are plenty of us here who need work.

This post should be in a section talking about transport, and the best way to get from A to B, not replying to someone offering work, and discouraging them from doing so.

Rather than taking a "what's in it for me?" stance, I was trying to be helpful to the OP, not knowing at the time that the train times would not work.

The advantages of taking the train are that:

a) It's safer
b) In this case it would be cheaper
c) It would get them to the airport in good time without having to worry about roadworks, flat tires, broken engines, etc...

I didn't realise that this forum was there to ensure that members got work rather than trying to assist members find the most practical and beneficial solutions to a problem/issue. Obviously you and I see things differently.
