| | | American looking for help importing item from Migros
Hello. I own a pen shop in the USA and i'm interested in http://www.migipedia.ch/de/haushalt/...sermaler-fein1
I am interested in importing this pen to America. This pen atleast from what I know, is only available at Migros. I would be interested in a few hundred sets minimum and would pay all costs in addition to a pre negotiated commission. I have business license, ebay account with over 1400 100% feedback and I can pay via bank transfer, paypal or another method. Hope someone is able to help. Thanks
Regards
JM Kim

Erm....what's so special about these pens? I'd have thought that your choice in the USA would be far greater |

I'm into pen spinning. it's a very niche business. Try googling it. tons of videos. Very similar to yo yo. I have tried to contact migros but their website is confusing and difficult to use for someone that doesn't speak english. If someone could help me contact migros and help me find a contact. i would be happy to pay a finders fee as well |

For a couple of hundred sets from Migro's you will most likely just have to place an order at your local store and pay retail, perhaps they might give you a bit of a discount.
If you want to purchase as a distributor, with wholesale pricing, you'll need to contact Bellcolor to see if they even sell direct, many of these type of products go through distributors. If they do have direct accounts, for such a small quality they most likely would not sign you up as a wholesale customer but rather refer you to a distributor at best.
Your other option would be to buy what you can find, put them in a suitecase and take them back with you and declare them as saleable goods that will remain in the US with Customs. It will save you on shipping and the Customs fees, if any, would be the same. As the value of say 50 sets would only be a couple of hundred it would be under the limit to pay duties
Good luck

Migros categorically do not ship anything through the mail (it's on the FAQ on their website.) Not locally, not internationally.
As Dantesheaven said, your best bet is to get in touch with the manufacturer and ask if they have a North American distributor. You might pay a little more but all the customs stuff is already done.
Otherwise, you'll have to order the pens from Migros online shop ( www.leshop.ch, don't worry, it speaks English) and get them delivered to an address of your choice in Switzerland... then figure out from there how to get them to the US while staying on the right side of customs.

And this is just my curiosity, I know it's none of my business, but.... I'm still confused about why you want those pens. They are just plain felt tip markers. |

Some felt-tip markers have noticeable weight differences or shifts due to the inner ink sponge (whatever it is) being smaller and more narrow than the shaft of the pen, so when you move you hand, it slides back and forth inside the pen. Maybe this one doesn't do that?
I'll have to admit to being curious about how someone in the US would know such particulars of pens from here though, not that it's impossible, but more that it may be a story that's interesting in some way.
