I am looking for a new Direct Marketing manager who will be responsible for all direct marketing campaigns including inserts, print, direct mail, email & newsletters.

Working with mainly outsourced vendors this role will appeal to someone who likes to ensure consistency across all marketing channels

Essential qualities:

- Ability to speak and write English fluently
- Thorough understanding of all direct marketing channels including: e-mail, direct mail, inserts, print, newsletters & online
- Organised
- Ability to strategically plan and execute direct-marketing campaigns
- Ability to manage the relationship with vendors, suppliers & designers
- Demonstrate an understanding of customer & marketing databases
- Ability to forecast and work with the stock-inventory management
- Minimum 3 years experience in a direct-marketing related role
- Has a valid work permit or EU Citizenship

Desirable qualities:

- Experience of working for an international organisation
- An ability to write creative and effective marketing campaigns
Fluent in either German, French or Italian

Whilst the company is new to Switzerland, it has operated successfully for over 10 years in the UK, USA & Australasia

I wouldn't hold your breath guys, this job was advertised six weeks ago & lkenny has not been back on here to check (or even mail people back who he wasn't interested in for other positions as well) for a long time...

I second that. In fact these job postings should already be removed since they are now advertised through recruitment agency.

Was interested at one job and scheduled an 'informal interview/meeting' but lkenny canceled at last minute...

Now, now guys. That's just not true and a little unfair. I'm pleased to say that I've filled most of the positions and have even gone on to the threads to tell people they are now filled as well as responding directly.

You might want to check your spam filters if you've applied and not got a response, but I've held lots of interviews in zurich and here in the UK. My outbox shows over 50 applications responded to. Apologies on the late cancellation but as explained by email, I had to head out of the country on other business.

As you experienced guys know, every time a post is updated an email get's sent to my email and the English forum mailbox, that's where I have responded from or directly from my own account once we've made contact off-site

What are groans for? If you're looking for employees on here & you can't fulfil your own appointment or in my case after sending you private information you never even replied to, what do you expect?

Hi Thanks for taking time out to respond again. In all seriousness with all the recruitment channels I've had well over 100 applications, probably pushing 150 at the moment. I think I've gotten back to everyone even if they are so far away from the skillset, however being human, sometimes things fall through the cracks.

The groans were for someone complaining "no one replied about a job application" in a forum rather than sending a quick private message or email saying "have you got it" or "when can we meet?"

I would say i had a chance a while ago to deal with Lee by correspondence about an advertised job & seriously he's been one of the most professional in his replies, he takes sometime to get back but he always does, even if the skill set is so far.

I would suggest you guys chill out a bit, it's tough market out there but this unprofessional attitude of moaning and complaining in public isn't gonna do you no favor in the future with other employers, remember it can be traced through your posts
