looking for hotel workers to hire

In Hospitality. we have a hotel in a small resort village. We cant seem to find good service people in Switzerland that would be willing to work in a beautiful, quiet, (boring ) village. We are a 3 star hotel and treat our guests very well. If you are willing to work , we are willing to train you. Service positions are seasonal (June to October ) we have modest housing available , but settled in a beautiful village. Please contact me if you speak German, and are interested in service work.

Re: looking for hotel workers to hire

I tried to send a private message but it would not let me so hope its ok to write here Hello my name is Sheree and im 21yrs old. I come from New Zealand but have been living im Europe for nearly 2 years. I have a swiss pass.
I currently work as a nanny on the lake of Zurich. And wish to keep this job as I like it. But thought maybe if its possible I work weekends for you for the seasonal period? Im not sure if im allowed to having a job already. And what pay and taxes and swiss laws are but if it would all work out I would be happy. I learnt german 4years in school, I am a very friendly, outgoing, caring, kind, hardworking person. I did a 3day work experience in a hotel and worked as waitress in bar for 1 year.
You may be thinking why do I want to spend my weekends working when I have a full time job? Well hospitality tourism and travel is the industry I want to get into later on in life and any experience is a big bonus I love working and meeting new people, im constantly helping others out and enjoy life to the fullest. I can only offer you weekends and this may not be what your looking for but I can assure you that I would be the best candidate for this job

Thanks for your time

Sheree

Re: looking for hotel workers to hire

Hi Kris3n3,

I am very interested in your announcement.
I speak German on B1 level and I am constantly trying to learn more as much as possible.

I have worked in a service branch before, in restaurants and in two different companies within customer service. I also speak a few other languages fluently, and I would be eager to learn about a new place in Switzerland, as I find traveling very interesting.

Would it be possible to get more information about this job?

Kind regards,
Tuuli

beat me to it but that's exactly what I was going to say. The interns we have working here are fantastic and I'll probably be without a job as soon as they graduate.

We don't use a school directly as far as I know but rather just put out an ad for internships and they come. Mostly from the Hotelfachschule in Luzen and Thun.

We have used a Hotelfachschule in Chur, and had very good luck with the students in the past , however the school has changed hands , and the quality has gone down hill . Sadly the students we have had the past few seasons are not willing to put the effort needed for 3 Star service (even 2 star), and have been too young for the responsibility. I will try Luzen and Thun. Problem is that most people would rather work in a fast paced city where there is a bit of nightlife. Brigels is a very beautiful, quiet place. I dont know why the forum wont allow messages...

Brigels is located in the Canton Graubunden between Ilanz and Disentis. We are a small resort village 1300 meters above the Surselva Valley.
