IT Helpdesk Support Person

Infrassure is a successful insurance and reinsurance company based in Zurich,
Switzerland, specialized in insuring the construction and operation of major, international infrastructure projects and facilities, such as power plants, telecom networks, semi-conductor plants, oil and gas production / refining facilities, petrochemical and other process industries (cement, pulp and paper, chemicals etc.), mining and metal production facilities and civil construction works.


To further strengthen our team and to support our profitable growth we are looking

for a:

IT Helpdesk Support Person
Provide desktop support to 100 users. Responsible for problem resolution on desktop PCs, virtual thin clients, applications, virtual servers, printer set-ups and in-house bespoke Insurance Policy System, IIMS.

Role
- 1st and 2nd Level Support
- Close liaison and working co-operatively with others.
- Logging problem incidents and change requests in Issue Track
- Owning issues through to resolution
- Prioritizing of incidents
- Identification and referral of incidents for escalation
- Identification and referral of change requests
- Deploying desktop builds, patches and software installation
- Assisting in IT Project related work
- Good Spoken and Written English communication Skills

Knowledge of:
- IT Help desk procedures and familiarity with ticket entry systems.
- Citrix XenServer, XenDesktop & XenApp, Citrix Thin Clients
- MS Office suite
- MS Windows XP & Windows 7 Workstations
- MS Windows 2003 R2,
- MS SQL Server 2005,
- MS File Server
- MS Exchange Server 2003/2007,
- MS Domain Name Server
- Symantec Back-up & Vault
- MS Dynamics.
- Printers and Print Server Management
- PBX Telephone Systems
- System Monitoring (eG Monitor)
- Understanding of asset management and inventory maintenance.
- Understanding of service management.
- Understanding of back-up processes.
- Understanding of Change Control Management.
- Experience of IT hardware is an advantage e.g. firewalls, networking, storage devices, servers and desktops nodes.
