Hello, We are looking for a babysitter for about 10-15 hours per week for 2 young kids. We live about 20 min by bus from from the Lausanne city-center. Babysitting would include going to music or gym class with one of the kids, doing craft projects, playing outside. Mom will be working from home part of the time. Days and hours are flexible. What age group babysitter are you looking for?

Hello, we are open to any age group. Well, I guess the minimum would be 16-17. But we see advantages for all age groups, from the student with a lot of energy and creativity, to an experienced mother, to a warm and nurturing older person.

Would definitely fall into the 'nurturing older category'. As we live in France it would be necessary to come over by boat to Ouchy. Additionally we are going on holiday for one week as from tomorrow. If, however, you still feel that I might be suitable, please send a similar message to await our return. They produce a list of babysitters in the region for a small fee.also have a look at some of the websites such as bestnounou.ch, pourvousaider.ch, lausannefamille.ch. , anibis.ch -lots of people adverising here or you can place an advert free of charge.

Thanks for the tips. I have tried anibis before without a lot of luck, but will try the others. I guess after being put off by some of the responses I got to my ads in French, I decided to try the English-speaking community. I did get the Red Cross list about a year ago. Most of the people on it were around 15, which I thought was too young for my newborn at the time. Also, when I tried to call them and ask for an updated list they said they could only send it once a year, with renewal of membership. Thanks again!
