Greetings from Canada
I'm in my early 30s and I recently relocated to Zurich to join my lovely family. Although my professional experience isn't that of a nanny, I have a wonderful 11-year-old son, which I believe counts! From activities with him to those with his friends, we have a strong relationship that's based on stability and most importantly, fun.
My professional background is in the trades, with a specialty in surveying. However, I am also experienced in roofing, landscaping and many others. For this reason, I'm especially well suited to a nanny role that involves a bit of 'handyman' work around the house or garden. As I do most of the cooking at home and I'm apparently good at it, I am also happy to consider a position with meal preparation duties.
To share a bit about my own interests, I am very active in sports and fitness. I enjoy teaching kids to play sports and just generally getting them out and about. Another interest is music; I play the guitar. I really like animals of all kinds. A role with some pet care would be a welcome one for me.
My wife is really taken with Switzerland and works in the pharmaceutical field. My goal is to work full-time as well although I would consider a part-time nanny position. We are shipping over our car (2009 model) but not until the end of the year. Until that time, any role requiring driving would have to offer a car. Of course, I have a valid Canadian driving license and clean driving record, and will shortly update that to a Swiss one. In addition, I completed a certified first aid/CPR course for both infants and adults earlier this year through St. John Ambulance.
Any questions, please ask! I'd love to meet your family and see what kind of common ground we have for a (hopefully) long-term nanny position.
