Man with Van/Handyman/Helper

Hey everybody,

I have recently moved to Switzerland and I am looking for a part-time job as a supplement to my other part-time job. Of course, I am looking for a work where I could use my brains and skills, but while I am still in the search I thought I could offer my hands as well.

Thus, I offer myself as a:
- handyman, who can fix and repair, mount/unmount, srew things up, paint, decorate, hang the shelves and many more duties, which you expect to get from the handyman. Also, I know the basics of electrician work, hence I could help you with it as well. I have lots of experience in this job, I used to work as a construction helper for couple of summers, also I grew up in the village, hence I helped my father to build a farm house, build a shed myself and all other stuff.

- Mover/man with van. Ok to be honest, my van is just a simple car, but you would be suprised how much you can fit in here. I have already helped couple of people to move here in Zurich, and we really put a lot of stuff including a sofa and other furnitures. Of course I cant compete with the vans, but if you do not have a lot of stuff, I can definitely help you to move. And do not worry about the furniture - I can easily unmount them in your old place and put them all together in the new one. Hey in my life I have changed 8 living places, I know what to do

I live in Zurich, but I can help you in 100km distance as long as the travel costs are covered. My working hours are really flexible.

My rates are really competitive - just send me a PM with the task and we will sort the things out.

All the best,
Tauras

Hi,

yes, I am fully insured by international insurance at the moment, but I am planning to sort things out with AHV number soon. I am from EU-9 country, so It shouldnt be a problem. Anyway, I am really careful at any job I do.

Hi
I did not mean your car, i meant you for the services you are trying to offer.
ie: a work liability insurance, against accident, damage, death etc.

Re: Man with Van/Handyman/Helper

I did not mean my car insurance either I have international health insurance, which covers accidents, death () and treatment. But now when you mentioned it, I also have insurance for my car

Anyway, I am just offering spare hands if anybody need help with moving/assembling furnitures/lampfitting/ hanging cupboards/painting/general DIY and other duties of the handyman. Although I have lots of experience, but I would certainly only take a job which I am confident in completing leaving everybody safe and sound. I understand your concerns, but hey - I am just trying to earn some extra cash by doing what I know how to

Re: Man with Van/Handyman/Helper

I think questions on 'liability' insurance are valid for someone who is offering their services on here. It is not a question of whether a worker is careful or not - accidents can so easily happen and if you are working in a rented flat or house, the tenant will be held liable for any damage done to flooring, walls, paintwork, fittings in kitchen, bathrooms etc. - and renovations and repairs are very expensive here.

Re: Man with Van/Handyman/Helper

Just to confirm that Tauras has been working on my house for the last couple of weeks.
He has taken out about two tons of concrete with a chisel hammer and it was VERY hard work.
He is very trustworthy, educated, punctual and flexible - I would recommend him to anyone.
We are now painting some shutters and plumbing in a bath until he gets a permanent job (which hopefully will not be too long now.)

Hi Checkoutmails - as far as I understand, Tauras is back home for 2 weeks as of yesterday.
We just finished plumbing in and fixing my bath and also the tiling and then he was off.
Anyway, I am sure he will answer your PM.
