Do you have any suggestions for companies to approach in Zug that are Engish speaking?
I have just moved to Zug with my husband and I will shortly be looking for a job - hopefully in Zug. I have 8 years HR experience- mainly generalist HR and most recently heading up Talent Mgmt for a large part of a financial services org in Australia. Unfortunately I do not speak German (although I will shortly be attending lessons) so I would need an English speaking company. Most of my career is in financial services in Australia and London.
Try looking at the Amtsblatt that comes out every Friday- cheaper to order a subscription than to buy weekly. They also have a website- http://www.amtsblattzug.ch/ and look under 'Stellen'.
Good luck with your job search! I too will be looking for a job recently too, as a senior PA, and similarly with English mother tongue and no German. My husband is German and we are relocating to Zug very soon so I am in a similar predicament to yourself. Like yourself, I am learning German but in the meantime will keep you informed of any useful leads! How are you finding life in Zug?
Hi
I relocate to Zug in July and will find myself in the same situation. I don't work in HR, more finance and administration. I am going to try and learn German as quickly as possible, but I suppose it will all depend on how quickly I can pick it up!
I have the added problem of a little boy of 5, who in the UK has been at school a year with childcare before and after, but will be going to the local kindergarten which I think is only mornings!
It's all good fun though, I am looking forward to finally coming over and hope to meet up with anyone who has a spare 5 mins for a cuppa.

I am in a similar situation and I am finding it very difficult to secure work. I am a qualified Personal Assistant with over 20 years experience. I have a degree in Marketing and Business and am currenntly taking a distance learning course in public relations. Can anyone advise as to where I could contact to obtain positions in either of these professional areas? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The best advise I can give you, if you do not speak any German: create your own company (it is easy in Zug), and then you can establish the working language yourself, and you can chose to be whoever you want to be (e.g., Head of HR). And after doing all that, you still need a CEO/CFO, post a note here, and I can try to help you.

Simples....
One question though: what would you propose that this own company actually does, to generate an income?
It would not be serious on my part to issue this kind of advice/opinion without even knowing the person. Whoever opened this thread should think about this. Please note that I won't be able to provide any further feedback on questions/comments of this kind in relation to this thread. Thank you.
