The person I am looking for:

• does not necessary have to come from an accounting background (but it would help)
• must be a fast learner and highly motivated

I have only discovered englishforum.ch in the last couple of days and have just seen your advertisement. Please can you tell me if your search for an accounts assistant has been filled?

If it remains unfilled, please could you tell me if one needs to speak fluent French. I am a English native and speak a little French. I have some accounting, book-keeping and administration experience.

Unfortunately this position has now been filled, however we are looking into expanding the department, so I may be posting about new opportunities in the next couple of weeks and I will let you know. French is not necessary.
